Pleural Thickening

Pleural Thickening can be caused from exposure to asbestos. It involves damage to the very thin lining between your lung and your rib cage and could cause asbestos fibrosis to develop. If the pleura thickens then you could become very ill indeed.

Symptoms are not the same for every individual and can affect one or both lungs. Shortness of breath and chest pains can result from this condition and can be extremely traumatic for the sufferer as it could lead to the development of more serious asbestos-related diseases.

Upon diagnosis, it needs to be established whether or not this condition is a result of exposure to asbestos whilst at work. If so, there is a high chance that you can make a claim for compensation through Mercury Legal.

Some cases can be very severe, others less so but either way you do not deserve to debilitated due to the negligence of your employer.
