Lung Cancer Claims

Asbestosis is often referred to in relation to an asbestos-related condition but is not to be confused with Lung Cancer, Mesothelioma, Fibrosis or Pleural Thickening. These are related but are essentially separate conditions and they are different in terms of your claim.

If you have been exposed to asbestos fibres at work you will have an increased chance of developing lung cancer. The combination of this exposure, as well as the smoking of cigarettes, will increase the risk of cancer furthermore.

Mercury Legal have found great success in settling claims for those who have developed lung cancer due to exposure to toxic substances at work and who also smoke cigarettes.

Diagnosis will be made following an X-Ray, CT or MRI scan and by taking bone marrow samples or performing a biopsy. When we have proof that the illness is as a result of your exposure to asbestos, benefits can also be awarded such as an Industrial Disablement Benefit. The Mercury Legal team will support and guide you through this process.

If you have tragically lost a family member due to exposure of asbestos at work, you may be able to take legal action. Our team of specialists will assess your situation and help you all the way along the inquest process.

At Mercury Legal, we are well aware that this will be an extremely upsetting time for you and are careful to act with the utmost compassion. Please pick up the phone as we are here to help.

Mercury Legal will pursue your claim at no upfront cost to you and you will not have to pay anything if your claim is unsuccessful through no fault of your own. We operate with the highest levels of customer care and we will represent your case professionally, managing all of the paperwork along the way.
